Durable Goods orders fall 1% in June

From the Census Bureau : New orders for manufactured durable goods in June decreased $2.0 billion or 1.0 percent to $190.5 billion, the U.S. Census Bureau announced today. This was the second consecutive monthly decrease and followed a 0.8 percent May decrease.

Obama Housing Scorecard

The Obama Administration released the June Housing Scorecard today. The graphs are a little hard to read, but they do provide a list of sources. On modifications they provide a graph showing 2.95 million total modifications for Hope Now, HAMP, and FHA loss mitigation (page 3).

Manufacturing and Trade Inventory-to-Sales Ratio

The Manufacturing and Trade Inventories and Sales report from the Census Bureau today showed that the inventory adjustment is over: Inventories. Manufacturers’ and trade inventories, adjusted for seasonal variations but not for price changes, were estimated at an end-of-month level of $1,355.7 billion, up 0.1 percent (±0.1%)* from April 2010, but down 1.5 percent (±0.3%) from May 2009. State and Local Tax Revenue increased slightly compared to Q1 2009

The Census Bureau reported this morning that state and local tax revenues grew 0.8% in the first quarter 2010 compared to Q1 2009. This was the second straight quarter of growth compared to the same quarter of the previous year. Individual income tax increased 2.7% compared to Q1 2009
